Computational Statistics in A Warranty Forecasting System
This paper presents a warranty forecasting system that forecasts future failure counts,multiple periods ahead,from the production of a non-repairable product,which enters the field as staggered groups of units.Warranty data analysis is a vast research area.Even warranty forecasting may involve many different scenarios.We focus on the most common scenario and study the issues that appear during the implementation in a software,which will be accessible to the general users.We will present our efforts that are based on and beyond existing approaches.
