Research on Knowledge Representation for Health Management of Aerospace Based on Ontology

One of the major obstacles in developing Health Management System (HMS),by using intelligent technologies for diagnosis, prognosis, maintenance and health management of aerospace,is the correct description of knowledge. The work proposed in this paper suggests a normative knowledge representation frame based on ontology to integrate Knowledge related to Health Management of Aerospace (AHMK).In this frame, all knowledge units of AHMK are divided into three domains,i.e.product,diagnosis and maintenance.Ontology technology is used to define knowledge models of the three domains.By analyzing the structures, properties and constraints of domain knowledge, ontology based modelling of maintenance knowledge as an example is discussed in detail.A ground test-bed of liquid rocket engine (LRE) has been used as an object to illustrate the application of proposed knowledge representation method.
