HYPER-GRAVITY AFFECTS ON MORPHOLOGY OF ADIPOSE-DERIVED STEM CELLS

It has been demonstrated that changes in specific inertial conditions (i.e.microgravity and hyper-gravity) can affect morphology and cytoskeleton. In this report we indicate the effect of hyper-gravity on morphology of Adipose-Derived Stem Cells (ADSCs).ADSCs were repeatedly exposed to discontinues hyper-gravity conditions 10g,20g,40g,60g (three times, each time 20 min with 40 min exposure at 1g between sets) by using centrifuge. Then cell morphology in terms of length, width, angle and CEI (cell elongation index) and cytoskeleton filament actins were analyzed by Image Processing Techniques. After hyper-gravity exposure, significant changes were observed in cell morphology in case of CEI and filament actin shape as a component of cytoskeleton.
