Theoretical Evaluation on the Thermal Enhanced Effects of Gold Nanoparticles and Magnesium Nanoparticles during Laser Interstitial Hyperthermia

Magnesium and its alloys have attracted great attention due to their excellent degradability. In order to try to introduce such material into a laser nano hyperthermia, this paper theoretically evaluated the thermal effect of magnesium nanoparticles and compared the results with that of gold nanoparticles. The results indicated that magnesium and its alloys are very likely to be ideal thermal enhancers of tumor hyperthermia.
