EEG Based Sleep Staging in Term Newborns
This paper addresses the application of Wavelet transform for analysis of sleep stages in full-term newborns based on EEG recordings. This study encompasses two main parts: selection of the appropriate parameters of the transform and development of a multistage classification structure with focus on data representation.Obtained results may provide a reference for enhancing algorithms in the field of classification and differentiation of individual sleep states, and overcoming disadvantages of existing methods.
