Suppression of respiratory interference in oscillometric waveform using wavelet ridge method

  effects of breathing signal in the oscillometric waveform (OMW) can greatly degrade the accuracy of systolic and diastolic readings for blood pressure measurement.This paper and proposes a simple method based on wavelet ridge (WR) to suppress the respiratory interference of the OMW in order to extract accurately its envelope which is very important to the measurement of blood pressure in oscillometric method.The results on simulated signals and real signals show that it can suppress efficiently the breathing effects of the OMW and extract the smooth envelope.
