Uncovering New Properties of Yfrl Gene in Cyanobacteria Using Bioinformatics Tools
Yfrl gene was first found in Prochlorococcus and Synechococcus by genome-wide comparative analysis and confirmed important for the adaption and survival of cyanobacteria.This article is mainly focus on its promoter and evolutionary features.The results showed that Yfrl usually locates in a conserved region with stable flanking genes named guaB upstream and trxA downstream.-35 box of Yfrl promoter often lost with a substitution of guaB.Phylogenetic tree showed a great relation between evolutionary process of Yfrl and the living environment of strains because of the gene transfer and recombination.Yfrl participates in various regaulations of cyanobacteria and play a key role for their adaption and survival.
