Apparatus producing a wide variety of electrolyzed water for home care

　　Strongly acidic electrolyzed water(SAcEW) is readily prepared from water containing NaCl by direct current electrolysis.SAcEW has an instantaneous strong bactericidal activity due to the available chlorine (AC) concentration.Neutral electrolyzed water (NEW) is prepared from hydrochloric acid solution by electrolysis and has also continuous bactericidal activity.We developed a compact apparatus to provide SAcEW and NEW simultaneously by electrolyzing NaCl solution.This apparatus consists of three tubs by two partition membranes.SAcEW was generated in the tub of one end and NEW was generated in the middle of tub.The strong bactericidal activity of those water was observed.This device is useful for making SAcEW and NEW as a disinfectant to employ at home care,when considering economic and environmental factors,since it returns to ordinary water after use.
