Drugs Administration:How to Reduce Risks to Patients

　　In this work we propose a device that can be used to reduce Adverse Drug Events (ADEs) in the drugs administration process.The devices is a container that is able to check if the drugs inserted in it are compatible to the ones prescribed for a particular patient.The device mechanically is provided with an electronic lock that prevents the opening in case there is some mismatch between the patient and the drugs.The system includes a custom electronic board based on a Texas Instruments passive RFID reader operating at 13.56MHz,and a custom firmware.
