摘要：

　　Biomedical engineering is normally included in graduate programs in almost every country where this activity is undertaken.It is thus normally associated with research activities or biomedical imaging programs..There are large number of applications of image processing diverse spectrum of human activities-from remotely sensed interpretation to biomedical image interpretation.Various types of imaging devices like X ray,CT images,ultrasound,etc.,are used extensively for the purpose of medical diagnosis.
