The DEA-based Efficiency Evaluation of HybriDot:An Active-Passive Hybrid Surgical Robot for Orthopaedic Surgery
An active-passive hybrid control robot for orthopaedic surgery is presented in this paper. This robot is designed to work along with surgical navigation system. The comparative clinical simulation experiments of distal locking have been performed with or without robotic assistance. Finally the efficiency of this system was evaluated using data envelopment analysis (DEA) method based on the results of the clinical simulation experiments. It is showed that the surgery with the assistance of the robotic system was relatively more efficient, which proved the efficiency of this robotic system.
