A System Dynamics Approach for Business Information Analysis
In this paper, system dynamics (SD) is introduced as an appropriate approach for business information. System dynamics is a simulation methodology that deals with the dynamics of complex systems from a feedback perspective. Due to the increasing complexity and dynamics of the environment, organizations run into several difficulties in their efforts to structure the business information activities. Two particularly persistent problems are 1) determining the relevant environmental signals and 2) making sense of the particular values of these signals. The current available methods do not eliminate these problems commendably. So, how SD can help in dealing with these problems is discussed by five steps. Finally, limitation of the introduced approach is indicated.
