A Portable ECG System for the Internet of Things System
The research of portable electrocardiogram (ECG) system is of significance to the early prediction of cardiovascular disease and home healthcare. With the development of electronic information technology and the improvement of people’s living standard, home healthcare is gradually started. Therefore, we need to diagnose and treat disease in advance.Portable ECG equipment is welcomed because of its simple and easy use.On the other hand, with the development of e-health, electronic medical records will be the mainstream of the future. So the portable ECG system is becoming more important and is always a hot research area of biomedical engineering. In this paper we chose the 32-bit ARM microcontroller as the main core because of its high performance, small size and cost-effective,and used the IAR EWARM developing tool to develop a low-power ECG data sampling and analyzing system. The system consisted of instrumentation amplifier, filter, micro-controller, SD card storage module and LCD display module. The system measured ECG with two electrodes on the body. After some processing the system transmitted the measured signal to micro-controller, and then we could get the ECG data from the SD card and display the waveform on the LCD real-time.The desired result demonstrates the performance of ECG system, also it can storage ECG data and display the real-time waveform. As a result, user can master their ECG status at any time.
