Revisions to the R5 and R6 structural integrity assessment procedures
The R5 and R6 structural integrity procedures are used to assess the fitness-for-service of operating nuclear plant in the UK. R5 and R6 continue to be developed and the developments lead to revisions to the procedures to increase their scope, reduce conservatisms in their applications, take account of worldwide developments to maintain the procedures upto-date or provide additional validation, for example. This paper summarises revisions which are planned to be incorporated in R5 and R6 in 2012.
