A Study of Social Organizations to Meet the Demand of Urban Poverties: Based on the Survey Data Analysis of Shanghai Y District
Nowadays, the issue of urban poverty has gradually become a new social problem during the process of society transformation in China, and the growth of poverty population in urban area adds unstable factors to the society. In recent years, some social organizations have already involved in the routine of anti-poverty to assist the government and related departments in fulfilling the survival said living needs of the poverties. Although a certain effects have been obtained, it is still in an elementary developing stage. In order to assist the social organizations to find the foothold, direction and focus of their service, field investigation has been conducted in Y district of Shanghai, which aims to explore the new idea of meeting the demand of urban poverties through social organizations. With the methodologies including literature review, questionnaire and interview, and based on the analysis of the survey data, two aspects of suggestions on how to reform and improve social organizations to meet the demand of the poverties in a better way have been stated in this article, so as to establish an effective and systemic channel to express and meet the needs for urban poverties.
