Food Security Countermeasures from the Perspective of the Crisis Management in China-An Empirical Study
Food safety is closely related with the livelihood of each individual. In recent years, food safety incidents, which endanger the public health, occur frequently in China. Chinese people have raised a query pf to eat what kind of food in order to ensure the safety, which results in a serious crisis of confidence in food safety. This paper focuses on the evaluation and assessment of the current food safety situation in China; the analysis of the effect of current food safety incidents in China on the theoretic basis of crisis management. Recommendations and suggestions about the food safety issues in China would be proposed from the perspective of crisis management in the end. Firstly, to maintain food safety should be a part of work in crisis management. Secondly, scientific and rational design of system architecture is a necessary step on the basis of solid crisis management theory and methods, in order to prevent food safety incidents as a priority, to punish and correct any behaviors of endanger food safety, and to build a big network to safeguard food safety from the various aspects of food production, storage, distribution and consumption.
