Study on the Role of NGOs under the Interest Expressing Mechanism for Group Event in Chinese Western Region
The fundamental reason for group event lies in the conflicts between interest groups, the direct cause is that society lacks a good mechanism to resolve conflicts. As the Third Sector, NGO can be the agent of citizen benefit for it is the representative of group interests. At the institutional level, NGO is one of the expressing channels within social space; at government level, NGO gives full play in social supervision; at individual level, NGO is the expressing vehicle of personal interest. In order to establish a healthy resolution mechanism of interest conflicts, we should fully excavate NGOs functions of integration and representation in the latent period, and the functions of interest coordination, communication in the brewing and explosive phase.
