A Study of the Basic Public Service Equalization in Urban and Rural Areas in China from Perspective of Harmonious Society

Public Service Equalization refers to a public service compatible with social development that every member of the society can be equitable access to the basic public goods and public service. Currently, since the unbalanced regional development, there is serious non-equalization in the supply of the Basic Public Service in China. The imbalances in urban and rural areas, regions and groups are more and more obvious. They seriously affect the healthy development of economy and society, harmonious society construction and construction of serviceoriented government. The vacancy, dislocation, offside, and imbalance in the supply of the Basic Public Service restrict the sound development of the Public Service Equalization in China. Based on analyzing the relationship between basic Public Service Equalization of urban and rural areas and harmonious society construction, this article analyzes existent problems, provides suggestions and narrows the gap between urban and rural areas to reach the target of harmonious society.
