The Natural Disaster Prevention and Control System Construction in Chinese City from the International Perspective
A city is the regional center of the politic, economy and culture, with population density, industrial concentration and great social influence.So every major natural disasters will be a severe test for the city without doubt. Today, with the rapid development of the city, major natural disasters also show many new features. China is a country with the frequent occurrence of natural disasters, numerous cities and relatively poor economy. Although there are some useful experience on the prevention and control of major natural disasters in Chinese city, there are obvious shortcomings. This need the governments, social organizations and people to work together to explore the construction of perfect and efficient major natural disaster prevention and control system and make an effective measures and efforts to benefit generations in the future.
