How China Bridges Urban and Rural Digital Divide: Considerations and Countermeasures
Digital divide is a global problem that is becoming more aggravated nowadays. In this very time of transforming of our society, various social conflicts are more severe and the gap between urban and rural areas are getting more obvious. Thus, digital divide, which brings threats to the functioning and development of society, has inevitably attracts more attention and cannot be ignored any more. In the age of new economy, the digital divide has been widely exists in Chinese society, mainly reflected in three aspects: urban and rural, industrial and agricultural, physical labor and mental work.The paper mainly analyzes the facts and causes of the digital divide between urban and rural area of China and give some advices to deal with the problem.
