Influential Factors on College Students Online Public Opinion Management: Based on the Grounded Theory
College students are one of the most important participants in the Chinese Internet community. College students online public opinion management is exposed to particular conditions, due to the special characters on management objects, managers and social influences. In order to describe the influential factors during the process, we conducted qualitative research based on the ground theory. Using semistructured interviews on the student counselors from colleges and universities in Chengdu, we collected the first-hand material from the managers who are in charge of student affair directly. The results of survey were further defined by open coding, relational coding and core coding. In conclusion, there are three kinds of core influential factors having impacts on college students online public opinion management, namely, subjective factors, objective factors, and peripheral factors.
