Influence study of process parameters on face stretcher about closed ring rolling high-neck flange
Finite element model of closed ring rolling high-neck flange was established, the influence laws of process parameters on the closed ring rolling high-neck flange as well as its reasons were analyzed. The research results demonstrate that the axial displacement of surface metal layer is larger than core metal, the head face and step face can be accompanied by axial cavity opening, otherwise, with obstruct of bottom pressing plate, the axial metal flow in larger bottom face is stopped, which facilitates a better deformation. The face stretcher decreases and the fishtail defects is remitted undergo the increase of the core roller feed speed and driving roller rotate speed. The results provide a theoretical basis for forming a high quality highneck flange.
