Research and Development of Novel Green Pesticides via Basic Approaches
Recently, some progress has been made in China under National Project Green Pesticide: 1) Chemo- and bioinformatics for virtual screening and new molecular design methodology for pesticides; 2) novel targets and new modes of action; 3) environmental and toxic behavior as well as in vivo high-throughput micro screening; 4) target-based discovery of novel leads with insecticidal, herbicidal, fungicidal, antiviral and eliciting activity. Several examples on the discovery of pesticide leads and targets as well as their toxicology or structure-activity relationship will be presented very briefly. Our group focused on the following three researches.
