Although Colombian tropical fruits production has primarily targeted the domestic market, its share in export markets is steadily increasing. To respond the demand and to minimize production waste, the application of pesticides to attack the different pests and plant diseases is a conventional practice using sometimes inappropriate pest management and applying high doses.
