Development and Validation of a Watershed Scale Pesticide Fate and Transport Model by Coupling SWAT and PCPF-1 Models
The main objective of this study was to develop and validate a new GIS based model for simulating the fate and transport of rice pesticide at a watershed scale by coupling the PCPF-1 model with the SWAT model. The specific objectives were ; (i) integration of the PCPF-1 model into the SWAT model, (ii) modification of the current SWAT algorithm for rice paddies, (iii) development of a rice cultivation scenario, (iv) calibration and validation of the new PCPF-1@SWAT model on the Sakura River watershed (Ibaraki, Japan).
