The Environmental Behavior and Fate of cis-Configuration Neonicotinoid Paichongding in Soils

Paichongding, a novel neonicotinoids with cisconfiguration, was designed by cis-nitromethlene strategy and has independent intellectual property. It is being jointly developed by East China University of Science and Technology and the Kwin Company and the certificate for pesticide temporary registration has been obtained. It exhibits better bioactivity against imidacloprid-resistant brown planthopper (Nilaparvata lugens) compared with imidacloprid. Meanwhile, it has low mammalian toxicity and was considered safe for birds, bees. As a new commercialized pesticide, paichongding s environmental fate will absorb our more attention.
