Analysis of Pyrethroids in Water Samples with Temperature-controlled Headspace Solid-phase Microextraction Technique Coupled with Gas Chromatography-mass Spectrometry
Pyrethroids were the fourth major group of insecticides developed after organochlorines, organophosphates, and organocarbamates. Due to their higher stability and insecticidal activity are of increasing importance and use and account for approximately 25% of the worldwide insecticide market. The toxicity is generally assumed low to mammals, however, to aquatic organisms is of great concern. As a major group of insecticide widely used in the world, the residue analysis of pyrethroids in corps, food, and environmental matrices is important for the agricultural and environmental studies.
