Construction of Novel Amphiphilic Chitosan Copolymer Nanoparticles for Chlorpyrifos Delivery
BACKGROUND; Low effective availability of modern pesticides places heavy burden to both environment and cost to farmers. There is therefore an urgent need to find alternatives to current pesticide deployment. Nano-augmented delivery systems seem to be more promising and potential to address the present challenge modern pesticides are facing. RESULTS: A novel amphiphilic chitosan copolymer with poly (lactide) (PLA) and 1, 2-dipalmitoyl-sn-glycero3-phosphoethanolamine (DPPE) to generate nanoparticles has been designed and synthesized.
