Design, Synthesis and Insecticidal Activity of Novel Dihalopropene Derivatives
The efficacy reduction and resistance development of conventional insecticides, led to the failure of crop protection from the pests, has become a serious worldwide problem. In addition, the impact of these pesticides on the environment was also a concern. A new compound with novel mode of action and good environmental compatibility is needed badly. Pyridalyl meets the needs exactly. It exhibits excellent insecticidal activities against lepidopterous and thysanopterous pests, low toxicity to non-target pests and safety to mammals. In addition to that, it may have a different mode of action from existing insecticides.
