Synthesis and Insecticidal Activity of Novel Dihalopropene Derivatives Containing Benzoxazole Moiety: A Structure-Activity Relationship Study
Pyridalyl, a novel dihalopropene insecticide, was discovered and developed by Sumitomo Chemical Co. , Ltd and commercialized in 2004. It exhibits excellent insecticidal activities against various lepidopterous and thysanopterous pests on cotton and vegetables, low toxicity to non-target pests and safety to mammals. The dihalopropene derivatives lack crossresistance with existing insecticides with other mode of actions. Wherein 3, 3-dichloroallyloxybenzene is pharmacophore.
