Design, Synthesis and Structure-activity Relationship of Novel Insecticidal Aryloxy Dihaloropropene Derivatives
Pyridalyl containing dihalopropene moiety is a novel class of insecticides showing potent activities against various lepidopterous and thysanopterous pests on cotton and vegetables. Wherein the substructure of 3, 3-dichloroallyloxybenzene could be the pharmacophore. Pyriproxyfen, a novel juvenile hormone mimic, is a potent suppressor of embryogenesis and adult formation of the sweetpotato whitefly, Bemisia tabaci ( Gennadius), and the greenhouse whitefly, Trialeurodes vaporariorum (Westwood) , and the aryloxy phenoxy is an important pharmacophore.
