Design, Synthesis and Biological Activities of Novel Substituted Phenyl Oxazol-based Neonicotinoid Analogues

Substituted phenyi oxazol-based compounds have attracted more and more attention in recent years. These compounds have been widely applied in medicines and pesticides, such as PR regulators, Histamine H3 receptor antagonists, antivirotics, herbicides, and fungicides. Neonicotinoids insecticides, represented by imidacloprid, exhibit a significant potency, low mammalian toxicity and broad insecticidal spectra. However, during the past decade, increases in resistance and cross resistance were observed in a range of species after their frequent applications in field. Hence, it is necessary to design and screen novel insecticidal lead compounds with high activity and low resistance.
