Acute Toxicological Effects of Commonly Used Pesticides on Earthworm (Eisenia fetida)
Earthworms are known as functionally most important macro-organisms in agricultural soils. They contribute to breakdown of organic matter, bioturbation, and water regulation in soil. To evaluate the toxicological effects of plant protection product (PPP) on earthworms, acute toxicities of eight commonly used pesticides (imidacloprid, thiacloprid, avermectin, betacypermethrin, pymtrozine, buprofezin, chlorpyrifos, and carbofuran) on Eisenia fetida were determined by using artificial soil test.
