Study on Toxicity of Buprofezin and Fenoxycarb to Zebrafish, Brachydanio rerio

The insect growth regulators(IGRs) is one kind of important pesticide being used more and more widely in agriculture. Study on IGRs acute and chronic toxicity and their effects on aquatic organisms especially the fish will provide information on how to maintain the stability of ecological system and protect the health and safety of human beings. Using zebrafish Brachydanio rerio) as model species, the effects of two important IGRs-Chitin synthesis inhibitors buprofezin and juvenile hormone analogue fenoxycarb on benefitial organism was studied.
