Determination and Characterization of the Phytotoxic Activity of Eucarvone
Phytotoxic activities of volatile compounds from 71 medicinal plants were examined using lettuce seedlings (Lactuca sativa L. cv. Great Lakes 366) at the germination stage. The volatile compounds from Asarum sieboldii Miq. showed the strongest inhibitory effect on hypocotyl growth, followed by those of Schizonepeta tenui folia Briquet and Zanthoxylum piperitum ( L. ) DC. .
