Hybridization Probe and Pyrosequencing Assays to Monitor Fungicide-resistant Population for the Cucumber Pathogens
Several diseases such as gray mold, powdery mildew, downy mildew, and Corynespora leaf spot are serious in cucumber production in Japan. Although they are mainly controlled by fungicides, fungicide resistance has been developed in several fungicides for each pathogen. To ensure disease management, each fungicide-resistant population in each pathogen should be monitored in each production area. For this purpose, more rapid and cost-effective methods are vital for determining fungicide-resistant frequency in plant pathogen populations.
