Study of Small Flow Rate High Pressure Ratio Backswept Impeller Design
In order to investigate the small flow rate high pressure ratio backswept impeller, a simple mean-line approach is established, and the corresponding FORTRAN code is developed. Based on these code parameters, four impellers are initialized with desired isentropic efficiency of 0. 92 and total pressure ratio of 5.0, whose flow rate is vary from lkg/s to 4kg/ s. Geometries of these impellers are constructed in the module of Numeca Autoblade manually with S-shaped blades. Three dimensional CFD simulations are conducted after geometry modeling. Analysis the results, it demonstrates that all impellers achieved design targets with zero tip clearance at designed point.
