Optimization of Multi-Stage Axial Compressor Based on Stochastic Ranking Differential Evolution Algorithm
The paper presents an improved Differential Evolution algorithm named Stochastic Ranking Differential Evolution (SRDE) algorithm. Stochastic Ranking is introduced to handle constraints in the constrained optimization problem. The performance of the algorithm is augmented compared with some other algorithms as indicated by the experiment which is performed to optimize thirteen bench mark problems. Integrated with a Streamline Curvature method simulator, the SRDE algorithm is used to optimize the stage load of a multistage compressor. A five-stage compressor is optimized in the paper and results show that the SRDE algorithm can redistribute the stage load and improve the performance of the compressor.
