Investigation on the Thermal Behaviour of Aeroengine Bearing Chamber Using Thermal Networks
Thermal analysis of aero-engine bearing chamber is commonly calculated by node thermal network, which is very important to the analysis of oil system. Traditional network is too simple to model the bearings chamber accurately, so it is rebuilt with eight nodes instead of previous three ones. A new heat distribution and network model of the bearing is established. Then, a new optimized thermal network is built, based on the Hertz thermal resistance between the main body and the surface of bearing. Finally, one bearing chamber is analyzed. By comparing the results of the previous and new thermal networks, the optimized one reflects the true thermal state of the bearing chamber better, especially the state of the bearing, with higher accuracy.
