Numerical Simulation of Multi-Cycle Pulse Detonation Engine Working Process Initiated by Small Energy
The research presented in this paper focused on the simulation of the continuous operations of pulse detonation engine with small energy ignition model. The finite-rate chemistry model and mesh generation method which was demonstrated suitable for the simulation of PDE single operation in the previous work was used. Five continuous operations were simulated, and the pressures and velocities of each operation were analyzed. The results of simulation were well agreed with those of the experiments, and the previous works. It is demonstrated that the methods of mesh generation and ignition methods in this paper was also can be used in the simulation of multi-working process of detonation engine.
