Experimental Research on the Dual-Rotor Dynamic Characteristics
Research on the coupling vibration, balancing and critical speed characteristics of a dual-rotor system with an inter shaft bearing is carried out, on basis of the fact that the rotorsupport system of the next generation of aero engine is more flexible. Besides, the formulae of gyro moment of dual-rotor system are derived. The result demonstrates that an intensive coupling vibration response happens as the result of the vibration transmission from flexible low-pressure rotor to high-pressure rotor and that the gyro moment and speed ratio of a dual-rotor system have a significant effect on the critical speed of the system.
