Tip Clearance Measurement of H-shaped Rotor-Blade of Turbine

The capacitive measurement system is proposed for measuring the H-shaped turbine blade tip clearance. The variation of the H-shaped turbine blade tip clearances is obtained by carrying out the experiment under three different designed clearances. It demonstrates that the tip clearance is a key factor which effect on the efficiency of the turbine. The tip clearance decreases as the speed increases;to the contrary, the tip clearance rises as the speed drops. The pressure-side and the suction-side tip clearances have the same variation trends. The bend degree of blade is comparatively larger in the start and stop process, and the bend degree is stabilized when the speed reach a certain speed. It also demonstrates that the tip clearance measurement system can be used to monitor the rotor state.
