An Improved TDOA Location Algorithm In LOS Environment

Chan classic position algorithm based on TDOA is primarily intended for mobile base station on the ground. This paper focuses on low-altitude aircraft.and extend Chan algorithm to threedimensions space and inertial navigation system(INS) on the aircraft is used for real-time integrated navigation. Main idea is that the location algorithm is using time difference of arrival (TDOA) of CDMA cellular network pilot signals to make twice weighted least squares and absorbing recursive thought of Taylor algorithm and get vehicles location solutions and taking use of the original information of INS to eliminate fuzzy,fmally we obtain aircraft real-time location solution.Simulation show that compared with other classical algorithm under the same conditions, the algorithm is of high speed and high precision and the mean square error approach Cramer-Rao Lower Bound (CRLB). The algorithm have some reference value for Low- altitude aircraft location.
