Dynamical Simulation Analysis of Timing Silent Chain Drive System for a Modern Gasoline Engine

Due to low noise, small vibration, durability and lifetime requirements, the timing drive system of modern gasoline engines are often equipped with silent chain drives.In this work, a dynamical simulation analysis of timing silent chain drive system for a typical modern gasoline engine is presented.The Focus lies on the development of precise simulation models for this particular silent chain drive system so as to improve the quality and the efficiency of the entire silent chain drive simulation.The dynamic behaviors of different engine rotation speed considering the acceleration of crank shaft are discussed.
