Dynamics of Subsurface Buoy Based on Multibody Mechanics
Subsurface buoy is widely utilized in oceanographic research under water.It has the advantages of good concealment and safety.It can also avoid the damage from serious wave load and collision with ships.In this paper dynamics of subsurface buoy system is studied by applying multibody method.The lumped mass approach is used to model the subsurface system including buoy, cable, acoustic releaser and anchor.Some nonlinear factors like hydrodynamic force and the piecewise stiffness are considered in the model.The dynamic simulations of subsurface buoy systems are given with numerical method.This work provides the theoretical basis for the design and deployment of subsurface buoy.
