Numerical simulation on temperature field of flame heating process of rail gas pressure welding and optimization design of heater based on Gaussian heat source
Based on Gaussian heat source, the flame heating processes of gas pressure welding for 60 kg/m rail and QU100 rocket sled rail were simulated by ANSYS finite element analysis software. It is shown that the simulation results for 60kg/m rail and QU100 rocket sled rail are in good agreement with experimental results, the average relative errors with the two models are respectively 10.4% and 8.0%.The calculation results of optimization design of gas pressure welding heater for 60kg/m rail indicate that the difference between maximum and minimum temperature of the welded surface is reduced by 11.74% than the original, which can be the theoretical foundation to design rail gas pressure welding heater of different types together with the simulation method.
