FEA solutions for simulating multi-workpiece and multi-process

To realize the numerical simulation of multi-workpiece and multi-process, two difficulties encountered in continuous finite element analysis(FEA) were brought forward firstly. Then the theoretical basis of merging measured initial residual stress into FEA meshes was discussed. Based on which the mapping method of multi-model in continuous FEA was put forward. This method can be potentially used to realize such continuous FEA as manufacturing of submarine welded pressure hull by transferring the finite element analysis results between different processes and workpieces.
