Study on the Impact of Pipe Welding on the Measurement Accuracy of Coriolis Mass Flowmeter
Coriolis Mass Flowmeter (CMF) is an industrial precision instrument. Pipe welding is a step in the manufacture of CMF. It is important to study the impact of pipe welding on the measurement accuracy of CMF for improving the product quality. In paper, the pipe welding process of double U-shaped CMF was simulated by thermal elastic-plastic finite element method, through which the residual stress and deformation was obtained. Then a coupled fluid-structure finite element model of double U-shaped CMF is established. After a series of calculation, the impact of the weld shape, residual stress and deformation on measurement accuracy of CMF was analyzed. The research achievement can provide important guidance for the optimization design and manufacture of CMF.
