The analysis of mechanical behaviors for all position mag weld pool instability phenomenon

To 360-degree welding is asked to implement in all position MAG welding and bad welding seam forming result in many defects and low efficiency, all kinds of force in pool affecting on shape of molten pool configuration are analyzed. According to Wang proposed hysteresis tension theory on hydraulic interface balance, the radial and tangential direction forces are studied in range of 0~90 degree, 90~180 degree, 180~270 degree and 270~360 degree area of all position welding and the instability criterion of bead formation is gained. Recur to the criterion, all acting forces resulted in welding defect forming mechanism can be analyzed, otherwise, which can also explain some project applications for bead formation in all position welding.
