HFSS Simulation and Analysis of Loop Antenna in Fuze RF Setting System

Fuze RF settin g system operating at 13.56MHz enjoys the adv antages of contactless communication, long setting distance, convenient installation and fuze tracking realizability. However, the metallic environment around the fuze greatly limits its application in smart design technology for fuze. To study the metallic influences on the system, the electromagnetic simulation based on finite element method was employed. During this process, a loop antenna coupling modal with metal modal abstracting real metallic objects was established, different coupling curves were achieved to show the m etal influence respectively, and feasibility of ferrite shielding function against eddy loss was explored in Ansoft HFSS. The simulation results present an increased resonant frequency and decreased coefficient of coupling due to environmental influence, the metal inside and outside the fuze in particular. Addition ferrite object helps with an enhanced magnetic field when plunged into a sp ecial position. Therefore, both situations require a readj ustment of matching network in order to obtain specified resonant frequency. The conclusion of simulation studies has a guiding significance for engineering design.
